When considering attic conversions your main priority is the stairs location
- Your stairs should not impede greatly on existing rooms
- Your entry point into attic should be well thought out to maximise space
All new attics should have suspended timber floors which rest on two steel beams. These beams should span from wall to wall. The beams also act as a supporting structure for the existing roof. All attics should be fitted with fire doors and top hung velux's for easy exit.
